Accountants website design
An accountancy website has one job: turn a stranger who is comparing three firms into an enquiry. We build custom websites for UK practices from £1,450, live in three to four weeks, with the client portal, quoting and booking tools your firm already uses wired in from day one. Every build is written to the ICAEW and ACCA marketing rules, and structured to be cited by AI search as well as ranked by Google.

Whatever you have in mind, we will build it
Bring us a look you like, a competitor you admire, a colour, a mood board or nothing at all, and we design around it. Below are six example concepts.
Fifty years of counsel to family businesses
Audit, taxation and succession planning for owner-managed companies across London and the Home Counties.
Concept design · fictional practiceTraditional practiceSerif, centred, gold rules and a navy seal. Every design decision says established. This is what a 50-year-old family firm should look like, and the type does more work than the colour.
I like this directionLimited company accounting, done for you
IR35 reviews, dividend planning and a named accountant. Switch in 48 hours with no exit fees to pay.
- Year-end accounts & CT600
- Self assessment included
- Unlimited IR35 reviews
- FreeAgent licence included
- Named accountant
Concept design · fictional practiceContractor accountantsBuilt like a software product, because that is what contractors compare it against. Pill buttons, a dark hero, and the price on a floating card so nobody has to hunt for it.
I like this directionAccounts that finally match your payouts
Marketplace reconciliation, cross-border VAT and inventory accounting for sellers doing £250k and up.
Concept design · fictional practiceE-commerce accountantsRounded, warm and confident. Online sellers are used to Shopify and Stripe, not accountancy brochures, so the whole design borrows from the tools they already use every day.
I like this directionChartered Tax Advisers
Should your portfolio be in a company?
We answer that question properly, with numbers, before you spend anything on restructuring.
Concept design · fictional practiceProperty tax specialistsVertical navigation down the left, which almost no accountancy firm does, and a rental income calculator sitting where the hero image would normally be. Quiet, editorial, and it earns the enquiry with a tool rather than a slogan.
I like this directionSpecialist accountants for dental and medical practices
NHS pension, superannuation and associate-to-principal planning, from a team that does nothing else.
Concept design · fictional practiceMedical and dental accountantsTwo-tier navigation with a utility bar, a booking card in the hero, and sector body logos rather than general credentials. It looks like healthcare because the people buying it work in healthcare all day.
I like this directionWe sit on the other side of your numbers.
A finance director for founder-run businesses turning over £1m to £20m. Quarterly board packs, cash flow you can act on, and the conversation your year-end accounts never start.
How we work →Concept design · fictional practiceAdvisory practiceAlmost nothing on the page. No navigation to speak of, no colour, one link. A firm selling judgement rather than compliance can afford to be this confident, and the restraint is the entire message.
I like this directionWhat accountancy practices tell us
A website that reflects our firm
James R.Managing PartnerOur previous website felt dated and didn't represent the quality of our practice. The new site looks professional, modern and gives prospective clients confidence from the moment they visit.
We're getting better enquiries
Sarah M.Chartered AccountantSince launching the new website, we've seen a noticeable improvement in the quality of enquiries coming through. Potential clients understand our services before they even speak to us.
They understood the accountancy sector
David P.Practice DirectorWhat impressed us most was how quickly they understood our firm, our clients and the services we wanted to grow. The whole process was straightforward from start to finish.
More than just a good-looking website
Michael T.Accountancy Practice OwnerWe wanted a website that could help us attract new clients, not simply act as an online brochure. The finished site looks excellent and is already generating new business.
Professional, clear and easy to navigate
Emma C.Chartered Certified AccountantOur new website makes it much easier for clients to understand what we do and how we can help them. We've had fantastic feedback from both existing and prospective clients.

Your firm now has to be found twice
Every entry has two sides. So does being found in 2026. One side is the search result your prospect clicks. The other is the answer an AI gives them before they click anything. Most accountancy websites are built for the first and invisible to the second.
Someone searches "accountant in Croydon", scans the map pack and the first three results, and picks one. Traditional SEO wins this: local pack presence, reviews, page speed, service and location pages, schema.
- Google Business Profile, properly built
- Location and service pages that are genuinely different from each other
- LocalBusiness and Service schema
- Core Web Vitals in the green
AI search
Someone asks ChatGPT or reads Google's AI Overview, which now sits above every organic result on many accountancy queries. It names a shortlist. If your firm is not in it, you were never in the running.
- Answer-first pages that can be quoted whole
- Question-phrased headings matched to how people actually ask
- Specific, dated figures rather than vague claims
- FAQ, Service and Article schema an AI can parse
Both sides, on every page, in the same build. That is the whole proposition, and it is why the name.
Four things we hear from practice owners
"Our site does not reflect the quality of the practice"
You do sophisticated advisory work and your website looks like a 2016 template. Prospects judge the firm by the site before they ever speak to you.
"The enquiries we get are the wrong ones"
Price shoppers and one-off self assessments, when you want retained limited company clients. A site that does not say who you serve attracts everyone, which means the wrong ones.
"Our web designer does not understand what we do"
You spend the first three meetings explaining what a practising certificate is, why you cannot say "we will save you thousands", and what a client portal needs to do.
"It is a brochure, not a lead source"
The site sits there. No enquiries, no measurement, no content, and no idea whether it is doing anything at all beyond existing.
Built for how accountancy practices actually win work
Not a generic small-business template with your logo on it. Six things that are specific to your sector.
Practice software wired in
A branded client-portal entry point for TaxDome, Karbon, IRIS OpenSpace, Xero or QuickBooks, on your own subdomain where the vendor supports it. Quote and onboarding links from GoProposal or Ignition. Booking calendar. Tax calculators. Partner badges placed where they earn trust. Set up and tested with your real accounts.
Compliance-safe copy
Written to the ICAEW Code of Ethics and the ACCA Rulebook. No unsubstantiated savings claims, no disparaging comparisons with named firms, correct use of Chartered and Chartered Certified, and the AML supervisory statement where it belongs.
AI visibility from day one
Answer-first structure, question-phrased headings, specific dated figures and full schema, so ChatGPT, Google's AI Overview and Perplexity can quote you. Built in, not sold later as an upgrade.
Local presence that holds up
Google Business Profile set up properly, plus location pages that are genuinely different from each other rather than find-and-replace clones. Google has been demoting the clone approach for years.
Specialism pages that price you up
Firms that say "we do everything" compete on fee. Firms that say "contractor accountants" or "landlord tax specialists" compete on fit. We build the specialism pages that let you charge accordingly.
Fast, and it stays fast
Static build, one stylesheet, no plugin sprawl. Lighthouse 90+ across all four scores at handover, and the care plan keeps it there instead of letting it rot.
Everything above is in the Practice Growth build.Tell us about your firm and we will come back within one working day with a fixed price and a launch date.
What a client in your niche is worth
These are the terms your prospective clients type, and what a single click on each currently costs on Google Ads in the UK. If you are paying that per click, the case for ranking organically writes itself.
| Your specialism | What clients search | Searches/mo | Cost per click | Specialist page |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Contractor accountants | accountants for contractors | 590 | £67.64 | Contractor practices |
| E-commerce accountants | accountants for ecommerce | 720 | £25.92 | Online seller practices |
| Property accountants | accountants for property | 720 | £13.94 | Property practices |
| Medical and dental | accountants for dentists | 720 | £24.41 | Medical practices |

Is one of those your firm?Specialism pages are where practices stop competing on fee. We build them as part of every package from Growth upwards.
Why practices move budget out of paid ads
The numbers behind the table above. Organic and AI visibility cost the same whether one person clicks or three hundred do, which is the whole argument for building the asset rather than renting the traffic.

Four steps, and not one of them is a meeting
We work in writing by default. It is faster for you, it leaves a record you can forward to a partner, and it means nothing waits on a diary. If you would rather talk something through we will book a call, but nothing here requires one.
You send the brief
By email or WhatsApp, in your own time. Which of the six directions felt closest, who you want more of, what you charge, which software you run. No meeting, no diary tennis. We come back with the specialism and the page plan in writing.
Copy and structure
We write every page. You are not sent a blank content template to fill in on a Sunday. You review, we revise, twice if you need it, and we move.
Design and build
Custom design, no theme. Built static so it is fast by construction. Integrations connected and tested with your actual accounts, not screenshots.
Launch and handover
DNS, HTTPS, Search Console, Analytics, Google Business Profile, sitemap submitted. A written handover guide rather than a call you have to sit through. The £50 a month care plan starts here.
Nothing here needs a meeting.Send your details and we will reply in writing with a price, a page plan and a date you can hold us to.

What the £50 a month care plan covers
Domain registration and management, hosting and hosting management, software and technical updates, one free minor change each year, and one professional email mailbox. Cancel any time with 30 days notice and we hand over the files.
Ongoing SEO and AI visibility is optional, and priced separately from £497 a month. It is not part of any build package and you are not asked to commit to it. Plenty of practices take a website and nothing else. If you do want it, it is one combined retainer covering both Google rankings and being named by AI search, in three tiers, with no contract and 30 days notice, and you can add it at launch or a year later. See the three retainers.
Prices are starting points. A five page site for a sole practitioner with no integrations lands at the bottom of the Starter range. A twelve page site with TaxDome, GoProposal and three location pages lands mid-Growth. We give you a fixed number before any work starts.
The six things practice owners ask us first
We already have a website.
Most practices do. The question is whether it was built to be a brochure or a lead source. If it has no specialism, no enquiry path beyond a contact form, and no content published in the last year, it is a brochure. That is fixable without starting again in some cases, and we will tell you which you are looking at.
Will this actually bring in enquiries?
A website does not generate demand on its own. What it does is convert the demand that already exists, and stop you losing prospects who were comparing you with two other firms. We build for better-qualified enquiries, which for most practices matters more than more enquiries.
Do you actually understand accountancy?
We only build for accountancy practices. We know what a practising certificate is, why you cannot promise tax savings in a headline, what your clients mean when they say the portal is confusing, and why January is not the month to launch anything.
What about our marketing rules?
Every page is written against the ICAEW Code of Ethics and the ACCA Rulebook. No unsubstantiated claims, no disparaging named competitors, correct use of Chartered and Chartered Certified, practising certificate disclosure, and the AML supervisory statement in the footer. Your compliance partner gets a clean review, not a list of problems.
How long will it take, honestly?
Three to four weeks for five pages, five to six for a twelve page build, eight to ten for a full cluster. Those assume you come back to us within three working days at each sign-off. If a partner goes on holiday mid-project, it moves, and we will say so rather than quietly slipping.
What happens after launch?
The £50 per month care plan covers domain, hosting, updates, one annual change and a mailbox. Beyond that there is no obligation. You own the domain, the content and the site, and if you leave we hand over the files and help you move.
Question we have not answered?Ask it in the enquiry and we will answer it in the reply, before you have committed to anything.

Questions we get asked
How much does an accountancy website cost in the UK?
A custom website for a UK accountancy practice typically costs between £1,450 and £6,000 as a one-off, depending on page count and integrations. Our Practice Starter build begins at £1,450 for five pages, Practice Growth at £2,950 for twelve to fifteen pages with client portal and quoting integrations, and Practice Authority at £5,500 for a full location and specialism cluster.
On top of the one-off build price there is a £50 a month care plan from launch onwards. So a Practice Starter site is £1,450 once, then £50 a month.
How long does it take to build an accountancy website?
Three to four weeks for a five page Practice Starter build, five to six weeks for Practice Growth, and eight to ten weeks for Practice Authority. Those timelines assume content and sign-off come back within three working days at each stage.
Will the website comply with ICAEW and ACCA marketing rules?
Yes. Every page is written against the ICAEW Code of Ethics and the ACCA Rulebook provisions on marketing, which prohibit false or misleading claims, unsubstantiated statements and disparaging comparisons with named competitors. We also handle correct use of Chartered and Chartered Certified, practising certificate disclosure, and the anti-money laundering supervisory body statement.
Can you connect the website to our practice software?
Yes, and it is worth being precise about what that means. Your practice software already provides the portal. What we do is make your website the front door to it: a prominent Client Login in the header, a short login page that tells clients which portal they are entering and what to do if they are stuck, and the portal running on your own subdomain with your logo and colours where the vendor supports it. TaxDome, Karbon and IRIS OpenSpace all allow that branding, and IRIS OpenSpace and TaxDome both publish instructions for adding the login link to a firm website.
Alongside that we embed the things that remove admin: a GoProposal or Ignition quote and engagement link so a prospect can price and sign without a meeting, a booking calendar, tax calculators, and Xero or QuickBooks partner badges placed where they build trust rather than in the footer. Everything is set up and tested against your real accounts before launch.
What this is not: we are not syncing your ledger, pulling client balances onto the website, or building single sign-on. Nobody should be doing that on a public marketing site, and anyone offering it deserves a follow-up question.
What is AI visibility and why does it matter for accountants?
AI visibility means being cited when someone asks ChatGPT, Google's AI Overview or Perplexity to recommend an accountant. On many accountancy searches the AI Overview now sits above every organic result and names only a handful of firms. Being one of those named firms is a separate discipline from traditional SEO, and it is built into every site we produce rather than sold as an upgrade later.
Do you work with practices outside London and Essex?
Yes. We work with practices across the United Kingdom. Our location pages focus on London and Essex because that is where our local presence is strongest, but the build process is identical wherever your practice is based, and most of the work happens over video calls in any case.
Do we own the website when it is finished?
Yes. You own the domain, the content and the site. There is no proprietary platform lock-in and no exit fee. If you leave the care plan we hand over the files and help you migrate.
Is the £50 a month care plan on top of the build price?
It is £50 a month in addition to the one-off build price, charged from launch onwards. It covers domain registration and management, hosting and hosting management, software and technical updates, one free minor change each year, and one professional email mailbox.
It is not optional, because an unmaintained website is worse than no website. It is cancellable with 30 days notice, and if you cancel we hand over the files and help you move.
